The small waterside town of Kiama has just been crowned the best town to live in New South Wales, a close second in the best towns of Australia, after a study released recently by The Australian, which looked into 752 small towns sprawled across Australia.
The research measured a number of criteria, such as income, unemployment rate, education levels, diversity and well-being, among towns with a population between 1000 and 50,000 residents.
The news did not come as a surprise to Mayor Neil Reilly.
“I’d say this is exciting, and no surprise to anyone who has spent any time here, it’s just further confirmation of what our residents and regular visitors have known for a long time.”
